TVR announced a new "family" of small sports coupes in 1967, the Vixen. The next Vixen, the S2, appeared in 1968 quickly followed by the S3 in 1970. In 1972 a further improved Vixen S4 made its debut and remained in production until the arrival of the later "M" range in 1972. All Vixens featured GRP bodies and most were powered by Ford Cortina GT engines.<br /> <br /> The later S2 model had a modified "bolt-on" body which made production easier. The Vixen still used the Ford Cortina GT engine and gearbox which ensured the car had sporting performance. Production of the S2 lasted until 1970.
