it really depends on what kind of mine or explosive device you hit a humvee with, what kind of humvee it is and where the blast comes from. yes even the up armored humvees can be destroyed relatively easily. they weight about 11 tons without crew, and I have seen them damn near shredded before. actually the windows on an up armor humvee are very strong being that they are made of laminate glass. I have personally seen them take multiple .50 cal hits and before they failed and many many ak hits without failing. I have seen one thrown about 25 feet in the air when it hit a 155 round IED, killing all but 1 of the crew

The Humvee's CAN take an underblow from a mine!.. amazingly.. even though the rest of it feels like a beater that you wouldn't want to be in even around some angry neighborhood kids with BB guns. The doors and windows are flimsy as hell in alot of them. They Do have some fully armoroed Humvees as well as a massively varied array of specifically optioned trucks for their specific perposes. You have to think about how a humvee armored as heavily as that Bently would handle in the sand.. Sure would take quite an assault from our enemies while it digs itself into the sand in the middle of the action...
