You can't get an original and if you could you wouldn't be checking out streetfire looking for street races. That car is well over a million dollars. Most are kit cars and can have any amount of horsepower you want and with a 2200 lb starting weight they are much lighter than even your local stripped down civic. And a super snake went in Scottsdale AZ for $5.5 million.

An original STOCK 427 side-oiler 1965 Shelby Cobra was capable of going from zero to 100 and back to zero in UNDER 12 seconds. With a 4-speed, however, they aren't known for their top end. It would take a change in transmission and gearing to run with that Supra from a roll. From a dig it would be a different story altogether due to the power/weight ratio discussed above and the MOUNTAINS of torque those old Ford big-blocks produced. The Supra most likely would have to play some serious catch-up off the line so long as the driver could get the Cobra to hook. In this race (assuming it's the real deal) the Cobra may have hung for a short while, but would have hit it's ceiling pretty quickly and the Supra would have still annihilated it. Cool vid, though. Pretty civil commentary, too.

they are everywhere, but keep in mind those are mostly kit cars, not original shelby cobras.
