nope, it's probably a 2.3 or 2.5 inline five.

Very reliable engines, very slow as well ... never supposed to do THAT lol.

We had one with about 970.000 kms on it and it still ran fine. The gearbox wasn't that good anymore though.

Turbo lag... if you notice when the turbo spooled up the smoke cut.... black smoke is usually due to lack of air in the fuel mixture, this is because in diesel engines inject fuel into the engine on the power stroke causing bad mixtures.

I think it is 6 cylinder. At least it sounds like it.
