Raed dominated qualifying and put his car on pole position for both races. Defending from the always fast starting Abdulaziz Al-Yaeesh Raed left a gap and 2007/2008 Champion Fahad Al-Musalam took the opportunity to squeeze by into the lead.<br /> <br /> Raed chased hard but a small mistake towards the end of lap 1 let Abdulaziz by which opened the way from the popular Saudi driver to give chase to Al-Musalam.<br /> <br /> There followed a close battle between Al-Musalam and Al-Yaeesh. With Al-Musalam seemingly struggling with lockups under braking finally Al-Yaeesh forced an error and got alongside on the run down to Turn 4.
