New Dodge Ram Big Bad HEMI What? Dodge brags about their big bad HEMI and the New Dodge RAM, has what is touted as a big bad HEMI but what Chrysler's Dodge RAM Truck Brand doesn't tell you is they have only 4 and 5 speed Automatics, even on their newest Dodge RAM trucks which results in reduced towing and passing power at certain speeds due to having 1-2 less gears! <br /> <br /> More gears allow the engine to put more power down to the wheels and for improved acceleration at "all" speeds, especially when towing. For 2011 you would think Chrysler wouldn't be left in the dust by ALL of their Truck competition with this (they act like they're serious about trucks)! Maybe they're more serious about reducing costs, cutting corners and saving money. Seems Chrysler chose to stick with a previous Transmission or didn't want to spend the money to go to a 6 speed.
