yes I love my 05 636 i got up to 140 and got scared Lol but give me a break this my 1st sport bike I only had dirt bike all my life but I love this bike

I had an '05 636 and it was the best bike ive owned, ive hit 184mph a couple of times. it may be off by 2 to 3 mph at top speed. But i was clocked at 151mph (with Laser, by a cop) when i was riding at 150-151mph on my speedometer through traffic( i have the ticket to prove it). By the way, i want to see the haters vid of him hitting 184mph on any speedometer. and the 636 kills every other 600 out there, ive beat them all. and my friend riding his 06 gsxr600 was next to me at 165 and i passed him, he had nothing left. So, until you have owened or ridin a 05 06 ninja 636, dont try to down it.

i have 06 636 also and at the track i was gunned @176 if it is off its by
4 mph so freak off u haterz

yeah its off by about 20mph on the top end, i had the bike dyno'd to check the hp and i had them do a topspeed run it was 162.2mph

i doubt its off that much.

I've gps the following bikes and found all were reading 7.5% higher all were stock too. 2001 gsxr750 2002 gsxr750 1997 gsxr600 2002 gsxr1000' 2001 r6 2004 gsxr1000 so his 180mph is really 166mph sounds about right to me.

Actually you should break in the engine. Not the 1000 miles like they say, but you should take a hundred or so easy miles on it to allow your seals to seat properly. Usually doesn't take long, and then the engine is fine. 636 is an awesome bike, really with they would keep making them. Nice v id, I wish I had a road like that here.
