I'm convinced that this has to be the most true-to-theme drift road in the U.S., and maybe anywhere in the world outside of Japan...

It's in Reading, Pennsylvania... A former rock quarry in the 1900's, on the top of Mount Penn, the owner for some unknown reason built a Japanese-style pagoda, which was originally intended to be a hotel.

It's owned by the City of Reading now, and operated as a tourist destination... I think when you add in Duryea Drive, the twisty road to the top, you end up with a little feel of Japan right in the middle of Amish country...

Weird, right???

(It's about a 1.5 mile drive, with a 600 vertical foot climb; so the grade is around 7%)
