Ken Gushi in His Own Words
Ken Gushi has been in American muscle with a big, bumping V8. Now, though, he's in a RWD Scion tC with four-cylinder power, a package that's been a year in the development heading to Irwindale this weekend. Ken thinks that's the essence of drifting. Hear him say it in his own words. Listen... You can always learn more at http://www.ByBillWood.com or at http://www.Twitter.com/ByBillWood

And you're right Boss002, Ford did leave Ken without that V8 option unless he wanted to pay for the development out of his own pocket. I hope any success he has carries on what's becoming a tradition: lightweight, medium-powered machines fighting for or winning the championship. With only seven events, you can't afford an unreliable car and lost points during the year no matter how much power you have under the hood.

i dont think ken really had a choice, i am pretty sure FORD dropped him, but hey if he had the choice then good on him for doing something different. Even though i dont agree with making FWD cars to random RWD setups for drifting

It's becoming a preference in American drifting. Easy power and wheel spin whenever you want it. It's changed the sport from light weight and driver controlled power to lightweight and easy power, even over-powered cars.
