well it doesnt help that there is nothing of stability connecting the front of the truck to the rest of the truck other than the frame itself. why is Ford the only company that seems to have this figured out? and the dodge has the front corners built even tougher than chevy. and nissan and toyota are just garbage all around. this is why we buy Ford trucks

Actually, that didn't look too bad as I have seen far worse. It looked like the passenger compartment stayed pretty well intact. Of course you have to realize there are tons of variable in real world crashes that you in all likelyhood might not see here. For example, in a frontal impact where the object that you hit is relatively high off the ground and 'rides' above your frame you are more likely to be screwed because that's when you have a greater chance of your dash and other related components being pushed in further. Also, any strike to the driver door at over 40 which is common in red light running incidents, even with side airbags, your chances of survival are pretty much slim and none so watch those red light runners coming favoring your left. I know, i almost lost my life in such an accident.

These pickups seem to crumble way to much in crashes.
I guess it's beacause the cargo erea is welded to the back of the cab. In a crash, the heavier cargo erea pushes the cab, making it to crumble both front and rear. Or am i totaly lost? Or maybye the car just suffers from poor quality..

Ha, thats cool. Not bad, you can see how they designed the front to crump, and the passenger cage didn't really bend that much. Looks like that dummy survived!
