He didn't make an idiot of himself, he misjudged the height of the tracks. When he said, "You take your chances, and then you take your medicine." I realized that he had a very good attitude about the whole thing. When you're a cop, the car is disposable, if need be...But still, trying to chase a dirt bike in a cruiser? Give it up. The Malibu Sheriffs had to have an officer jump off the skids of their helicopter to take down a friend of mine on a dirt bike. (many, many, moons ago...)
