F1 Driver Jarno Truli has Abruzzo in his heart

A devastating earthquake hit the Italian region of Abruzzo in May, killing over 300 and leaving 30,000 homeless. Panasonic Toyota Racing Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli was born in Abruzzo and immediately made it his mission to raise funds to help the victims. As one of the most recognisable faces in Formula 1, he has used his profile to raise over €75,000, with much more to come from a charity auction of racing memorabilia at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Jarno still has roots in Abruzzo, with a prospering vineyard at Podere Castorani and many memories of his childhood as an aspiring kart driver.
