Saturday 4/4/09 1500 hours On a recon mission in two ½ feet of snow at the top of Capital Peak. <br /> A Search and Rescue buddy’s truck caught on fire and burned. <br /> Fire Rescue got stuck in the snow could not make it to put the fire out. I finely reached my friends after winching two fire units and one tow truck out of the way and it was 8 hours later. Thank god no one was hurt. I sure was glad to see my fellow Search and Rescue members were all right. Sadly the Green Beast was a total loss. So was all his Search and Rescue gear. About $3000 worth not including the truck All out of his pocket.
