69 camaro stock 302 DZ engine dyno
dyno video of a 69 chevy 302DZ motor rebuilt to factory specs. In 1969 this motor was rated at 290hp@4400rpm in all actuality it makes 530hp@8500rpm and their were no aftermarket speed parts in this motor. The cam is an exact factory blue print from comp cams.

My dad has that motor in his 1956 belair but not anywhere near stock. That motor is amazing.

I've always loved the DZ302. I just think it's funny how some people don't think engines made power back in the day. Stock small blocks would hit 6,000 to 7,000RPM. The short stroke of the DZ302 gave it the possibility of high RPM's. As for horsepower, even the underrated amount was a big number (stock 454 was SAID to make 450hp). I love the video man. Keep em coming!
