I own an 06' Eclipse GT 6 speed and I'll admit that the Redline gives me a run for my money stock vs. stock (depending on the driver). But I still pull on them. Not so much at low speed, but from 50+ rolls it's pretty appearent. Still I agree with bmwM3guy, it's unlikely that the eclipse is modded, but the Redline could be which would give them the advantage. And if the Eclipse is sport-tronic then it's no contest, I raced the sport-tronic version of my car and killed it. As for the twisties, it's smooth but depending on the corner u can get mad understeer so you gotta apply some left-foot braking to keep it under control.

All I have to say is the driver of that Eclipse sucks and needs to learn ho w to drive a manual. Hell he could've misshifted and still take you.

It actually goes fairly great through the twisties despite the weight. We c an't tell if either of those are stock or modified. I doubt the V6 was mod ified but it could be. The Redline could've had a smaller pulley to up the PSI and make more power, you just don't know. It's hard to tell without h aving engine shots of the cars before they run or you can't even hear the cars when they take off. If the Eclipse GT is sportronic then it's righ t along the same speed as a manual Redline. If the Eclipse GT is the 6-spe ed manual, it could give the Redline 2 lengths or more and it'd still win.

Camera work hurt my eyes a bit, but the outcome of the races is what I figured. I just didn't think it would be so bad. However, the new Eclipse GT is also a 3,400+ lb car, so 260 bhp doesn't really go far. I've also heard it has a tough time through the twisties due to the weight. I bet it rides smooth though.
