This was my first car, I bought it in october of 1997 when I turned 18. It had 90,000 miles and it was a 1 owner car, it was apraised at $11,800.
I paid $5,500 because it was a lease car and that was the buy out for it, It had the typical torque convertor shudder that was little known to techs at the time. The owner was quoted $3500 for the tranny so he decided to sell it to me versus letting the bank have it and being charged for going way over his alotted miles. I took it home changed the fluid and added a external trans cooler. the trans lasted another 220,000 miles. This tbird has every option except the cell phone. at 400,000 miles I changed the engine because it was smoking pretty good and consuming a quart every 500 miles. as far as body mods, It has sc ground efx, Tinted windows (20% front & limo rear) Replaced the entire interior from a 97 with 28k miles (4/2008), 97 headlight conversion, 140 mph cluster from sc, pusher fan for a/c, remote start, and many more mods.   In May 2008 I was sitting at a red light and I was rear ended and the car was deemed totaled. I bought back the car from the insurance company and was going to part it out until I became friends with a body shop Tech. In August 2008 He put my car on his frame machine and was able to pull out 99% of the damage. When I can, I will send it back for the sanding and dent removal. I havent decided on a color yet. When that is done the svo blower is going on the motor 94 Thunderbird Lx
