Ever since I can remember I have been passionate about cars. It
started as a child playing with Hot Wheels, and I've been playing with
cars ever since (The toys just got bigger). "Smokey and the Bandit"
was the movie that solidified my addiction. For years after that, I
wanted a Trans Am as soon as I turned sixteen. Before I got my
license though, I had found a new love, the Chevy Nova. My first car
was a very used 70 Nova SS. I learned some of my mechanical
skills by tinkering on that poor car (I learned more of what not to do
next time), and it helped increase my desire to learn more. Right out
of high school I did a year in an automotive technical school. I
started my career in a gas station doing odd mechanical work and
pumping gas. Lucky for me a local Cadillac dealership was looking
for Apprentice Mechanic positions. I quickly applied, and was
accepted. After a year apprenticeship, I became a Line Tech and
worked there a total of six years before moving on. Two years later I
chose a different career path, which was good for me. I now work on
cars because I love to, not because I have to.
