There are some stout transmission and rear diffs avail for the Vette. Its like 3 or 4k for the complete setup to handle up to 750 ftlbs. Those are rough numbers, I can't remeber the exact numbers or the name of either of the 2 companies. I looked into in when I thought I blew up the rear end last summer. I've nixed the rods and supercharger. We are going to pull the motor out, bushing the lifter bore and put stock lifters and rockers back in. Thats it. Originanly I ran the "caddy" CTSV lifters which one failed. Now I'm running Lunati, which have suspected failed. We looked into Morel with mixed reviews and variances in the physical appearance in quality, decided not to try them. The only thing I know for sure, is there is no absolute way to go. Which ever I look at some have had good luck, some bad. I really believe when you're getting up around and over 600 lift and 240 duration, you're pushing the envelope of a hydraulic lifter. If you want a sure thing go solid. Good luck adjusting them every couple months on a Camaro. Oh btw, the Firebird is a 2000.

I had to make a crap load of new components in Jan to build a couple sets of shocks for a customer. They are testing it on some prototype armored vehicle for special forces to use in Afgan or where ever they need to go. Crazy timelines, but thats finished finally. Now I'm looking at a crazy busy Feb.

We found a lifter jammed up in the lifter bore in my motor. The motor is coming back out, I'm putting rods in it, the stock lifters and stock rockers back on that bitch. Thinking about a Pro-Charger this time around, but I'm not really sure if I want it. I need a car I can get in a drive, or go to the road coarse with. I know everyone and their brother has a reliable forced induction setup, yada, yada. My will be the one the gives nothing but grief and I'll break more drive train parts and shit. So thats the reason for the uncertainty. I have less and less time to go out and have fun, and I don't like being without a ride when the time comes!! Ian and I are going to be putting that Vortec supercharged LS1 in the Firebird soon. We have to finish that project before we can tear apart my car, so I have some motivation.
