Bike riding car nut
I've pretty much been into cars since I can remember.
My dad taught me what tools to get for him when I was 6 years old. (He needed a gopher for working on the 57 Buick Roadmaster he owned when stationed in California).
When I was old enough to buy my first car (1960 Chevy Impala) throughout the 50 some odd cars since then, I was always trying to either make them look different or go faster.
After I got married I went through the family rearing stage of life. (sold the hot rods to buy a house)
I decided to get into bicycle riding. I couldn't be satisfied with any bike so I decided to go full bore into full carbon/titanium road bikes for self generated speed and handling.
Once I got the bike where I wanted I then had to get myself worthy of the bike. That meant getting involved with making my frame lighter. (Me not the bike) So I got started in Duathlons for competition. (great excuse to get in shape if you don't like exercising).
The kids are older now (college) so I decided to start doing the car thing once again.
All this brings me to being a bike riding car nut and enjoying every minute of it.
