My camaro This is my first car I bought it 3 years ago and since have only put an edelbrock cam and carburatuer kit into it. I dont want to put much money in this motor. Im going to build a 383 using the original block. so far ive got an Eagle 400 crank and sealed power 11:1 pistons, comp cams 252/252 @.50" or advertised 314/314, full valve train, 3/4 groove main bearings, and electric fuel pump ready to be installed. im shooting for 450-500 hp at the crank. I still need about a grand in parts though. 2012 still building my 383 the stock block will not work for my build when i sent it out to get clearanced for the crank i discoverd that the block has already been machined to 60over (4.063worn out)to thin for 11:1 so i had them hone it and jus reringed it for now.
