The reason they look big is because they are ported to the max man lol. And the guy that did them deisgned the program for them. He tampers with how to mast the velocity better, not just making the ports huge.

Now go get a fluted bit (NOT A STONE BIT) for yer Dremel and open your lower intake to match, nothing crazy, just match them. I found some top end pull when I did that to my Performer RPM Air-Gap.

Those imtake ports looked a little big. I didn't recall my GT40Ps having ports that big, but I haven't had them in a few years.

you are correct, and yes though they are iron, they are really decent heads. They flowed 241cfm @.500 on a flow bench. Credits to BHPperformance

Unless I'm mistaken, the 3 lines on the front of those heads mean they are GT-40P heads. Pretty good heads for the money.
