Kudos:

You can earn Kudos several ways:

Sharing Videos

You can earn Kudos by sharing videos you find on StreetFire.net, the video doesn't even need to be yours. It's easy, simply copy the HTML Code or Embed link from the site and paste it into your blog, website or whatever. When someone clicks that link to view the video, your Kudos will go up for each unique link.

Note: If you are sharing someone else's video you must use the embed code to get credit for sharing. Using the URL from your browser will not attribute kudos to the person who shared the video, even though the video itself will still get kudos for it's links.

Uploading Videos, Creating Rides and Completing Profile.

We know that you have some kick ass stuff to show off, so the more of that you put up on Streetfire, the more Kudos you get. Currently you can earn Kudos for: uploading videos(1), creating rides(5); or adding a photo to your profile(5).

Streetfire reserves the right to remove any photos posted strictly for the purpose of gaming the kudos system. This includes, but is not limited to, uploading multiple versions of the same photo.

Logging In

We love having you around, so each day that you sign in to Streetfire.net you will receive 12 Kudos. This little number only works once per day and you must make sure you actually sign-in.

Inviting Friends

We understand that having your buddies over for a beer in your garage makes life worth living. Just like your garage, StreetFire is just better with friends around. That's why we encourage you to invite your friends and will provide you with 1 Kudo when someone acceptes an invitiation you send them. Maybe you can entice them with an ice cold frosty one.

Uploading Popular Videos & Photos

Who doesn't like a bit of recognition for a hard days work. If you post a video or photo that truly rocks, and someone else agrees, then why not give you credit? It's simply logical, if someone clicks Add to Favorites on one of your videos or photos, you get 1 Kudo, nuff said. Oh, and you also get a kudo for each link to your video or photo, so why not make it easier to find by adding great titles, descriptions and tags!

Watching Videos and Viewing Photos

You will receive a kudo for each video you watch and photo you view up to a daily limit.

Posting Comments

You will receive a kudo for each comment you post up to a daily limit. Remember that any comments that violate our TOS can be removed and any kudos earned by them taken away. Examples of abuse include scrolling (e.g., posting the same comment multiple times), verbal attacks, spam, bashing or other behavior that disrupts the normal use of the site.

The first step to earning a lot of Kudos is posting a great video, but there are two ways you can directly influence how many Kudos your video receives:

  1. Get your friends to add that video to their Favorites. There is an Add to Favorites button just below every video on StreetFire.
  2. Share the video on your blog, your favorite forums or other locations on the web. The more links your video has from other websites the more Kudos it receives.

Kudos are displayed for each user as both Monthly and All Time.

  • Monthly Kudos are everything you have earned since the beginning of the present month. At the beginning of each month this number drops to zero.
  • All Time Kudos are all the Kudos you have ever earned. This is a combination of all the Kudos you earned in the current month, plus all of the previous months.
Rides:

Creating a Ride on StreetFire is easy. You can create a ride for a car you currently own, a car you owned in the past, or even one you dream of having.

To create a Ride first log into your StreetFire account and click the My Home link just below the StreetFire logo. Then find the Rides button on the left of the page. You will now find a button to Create New Ride.

Fill out the form with relevant information for your ride and click the Add Ride button at the bottom of the page. You will now be asked to add a photo. There are two ways to add a default photo to your Ride:

  1. Select a photo from your computer - Click the browse button to select a photo from your computer. Once you have selected your photo, click the Upload button.
  2. Select a photo from one of your existing albums - When this selection is check you will see a list of your existing albums on StreetFire. Click the album you want to select the photo from and then click the photo you want to choose. You will see the photo appear on the right of the page and click Select to save your changes.
Videos:

After you upload a video it is sent to our encoders while we re-format it to display on the web. During this time your video will appear in your list of videos, but it will not be viewable on the site. Once your video has completed the encoding process we will send you an email letting you know it is available.
